The pharaoh Tutankhamun is dead, killed in a mysterious hunting accident. This should be good news for Huy, who was exiled from court and prevented from working as a scribe when Tutankhamun took the throne. Palace intrigue, though, was never so simple. In the years since his exile, Huy has been eking out a living as a freelance problem solver?the world's first private eye?and it's in that capacity that he's been hired once again, to find out exactly how Tutankhamun died.
