This is a collection of the adventures of Harry and Lola, a pair of rescued Scotties. This collection includes three books from the series of stories created by the dog's adoptive “mommy”, Jean Nave. Each adventure is grounded in some actual facts but Jean has enjoyed creating enchanting and fun stories for kids. All three stories are about friendship. They deal with how to make friends, how to keep friends and how friends make life better and more interesting. The books are best suited for children between the ages of 4 and 8, though younger children may enjoy them if they like dogs. All profits from the sale of this book go to Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue of Oregon and Southwest Washington, the organization who rescued the real Harry and Lola. This collection includes the following delightful books: A Home for Harry and Lola The story introduces Harry and Lola as rescued Scotties adopted by a family who lives in Sisters, Oregon. It begins with the introduction of Harry to the family cat, Smoki. Harry and Smoki become great friends. In the story the Scotties meet other friends in the neighborhood and they meet some animals who won't be friends. Lola learns how to make rhymes about the animals. Harry and Lola with Smoki the Magical Cat Smoki, the cat who lives in Harry and Lola's new home, takes the Scotties on a magical evening trek to meet Mommy Raccoon and her kits. They learn a lot about raccoons and are delighted with Smoki's magical powers. Harry and Lola at the Sisters Rodeo Sisters, Oregon, the town in which Harry and Lola's adoptive rescue family lives, is a real historic Old West town. Each summer the Sisters Rodeo is the biggest event, attracting top rated cowboys from all across the country. Harry and Lola visit the rodeo and meet some interesting critters who work with the rodeo. Lola was not excited about going to the rodeo but changes her mind about it once she has the opportunity to meet rodeo animals.
