Nicholas Rhea is the pen-name of Peter N. Walker, formerly an inspector with the North Yorkshire police and the creator of the Constable series of books from which TV series Heartbeat has been derived. Two omnibus editions of these books, Heartbeat: Constable Across the Moors and Heartbeat: Constable Among the Heather are aslo available from Headline. Peter N. Walker is married, with four children, and lives in North Yorkshire.
