Hilary Bennett knew she was a good vet, with both large and small animals, so she wasn't best pleased when Robert Milbourne made it clear he felt large animals were not suitable work for a woman vet. Having been abandoned by her childhood sweetheart Thomas, and then pestered by a man she later discovered was married. Hilary wasn't in the mood to accept such a criticism!
