Returning to the Cowtown of West London to take over some inherited range land, Walt Devon strolled out onto the porch of one of the saloons.
Suddenly his attention was arrested by the jerking, whirling motions of a glowing cigarette point at the far end of the porch.
Watching it in the darkness, Walt found himself wondering if those jerky motions were mere accident or -- Yes! They clearly spelled the word, “Death!”
After a quick search of the surrounding shadows, Walt found an answering signal. “When?” -- “Tonight” -- “Where?” -- “Purley's at eleven.”
That exchange plunges Walt Devon into blazing action in the colorful, fast-action novel of the Old West -- a saga of fighting men and flaming guns!
