Professor Kamilah Reston has a problem. The Board of Regents at the prestigious Fort Worth University wants to terminate the African American Studies program due to low enrollment. Her task is to increase enrollment enough to justify that she can keep her job. Seems like a pretty big task. That is until her grandmother announces that she's part of a spiritual gift. What else can go wrong in a divorced professor's practical life?
Quite a lot, she soon discovers. After taking advice to give lectures about Black history to spark community interest in her program, Kami learns that her first obstacle is the chairman of a local youth program. If she can convince him to give her a spot on the already crowded program, it could be the answer she's been looking for. But what she wasn't looking for was a sexy, arrogant man who just happened to be a piece of eye candy!
Oliver Sullivan, a divorced single dad, thought he was just doing his friends a favor by agreeing to speak to the professor. Once she's completed her spiritual task she ready to face him and tell him where to get off. But Oliver shows up begging forgiveness.
