The Poet Tree is comprised of two companion stories. They chronicle the aimless sex-related escapades and the corrupt flamboyant dealings of various characters who inhabit suburbia. The first story is about a seven-year-old poet savant who searches for father among his mother's real-estate clients. The second story is about a motherless girl who helps the poet savant find his woebegone father. How these two children eventually triumph over their oppressive circumstances gives rise to a unique kind of comedic justice. The Poet Tree is basically a light comedic work with serious underpinnings that provided a satirical commentary on modern American society.
