The Glenmore Family are a powerful but well respected family with a 150,000 acre ranch one hour from the town of Gold Springs.
The heads of the family are Virginia and Joseph and they have four children â€" George, James, Ben and Laura. They are a compassionate family who are well known for their assistance to those less fortunate than themselves.
They come to the assistance of a young girl who has been beaten and horse-whipped then left to die on the track leading to their ranch.
She is taken to their ranch to recover and George is surprised to find himself falling in love as he tries to help her recover her memory.
An overlooked wire is finally brought to their attention and leads to the girl's home of Austin.
With the help of a Ranger and the girl's best friend, Kate, the young girl eventually remembers her past.
The cruel outlaws responsible for her beating keep watch over the ranch in the hopes they can recapture the girl and obtain the information they are sure she has.
The search for these outlaws becomes a matter of urgency when murder, shootings, robbery and beatings begin to affect the Glenmore Family and their ranch.
