DYING IN THE HEAT
Nothing much moves in the sweltering August heat of Florence, Italy -- especially a corpse, hidden in the bushes of a nearly deserted intersection. Former police officer turned private investigator Sandro Cellini suspects that identifying the body may help him solve his newest case. A very young, very scared and very pregnant woman desperately wants him to find her missing fiancé.
At the same time, alert bank teller Roxana, wondering over the unexplained absence of a regular customer, finds herself unwittingly involved in something far darker than she ever imagined. As the city bakes in the Tuscan sun, Sandro's skills are put to the test, and heat and homicide become intertwined…and inescapable.
