The Colors of Love is a modern day love story based on the real lives of two young Philadelphians. Take this journey with Lauren and Akki (I-Kee) as they struggle to live their lives while trying to love one another. Motherhood is Lauren's top priority but she finds that sometimes she has to choose to be a woman first; Akki on the other hand is a man who happened upon love after he had already promised himself to another. As in real life their highly emotional tale is filled with drama, chaos, hurt and pain but you will still find humor in the mix as well. Lauren is faced with challenges that she would have never foreseen coming her way. In early December of 2008 she finds herself severely depressed while dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder onset by trauma she faced in the workplace. While trying to put her life back together she realizes that both her professional and personal relationships had become toxic. Lauren knows that major changes need to be made if she is to survive. Together Lauren and Akki struggle as they learn about themselves and one another but not without sacrifice and more than a few regrets. Some of the choices that Lauren make will definitely make you think about what you would have done under the same circumstances. She has been victim, a victor and at times even a villain, but it's who she is in the end that is most important.
