The Bus from Outer Space — Mary C. Ryan

On her way into school one morning, Beth Jackman sees an amazing sight -- a large silver egg floating over the parking lot. Feeling excitement in the air, Beth lingers to see what will happen. With a whoosh!, a small door opens in the side of the egg. An American flag shoots out and a deep voice intones, “I pledge allegiance. . .” Thus begins an adventure that brings new friends and new experiences to the children and teachers (not to mention the parents) of the Conrad Street School.
