Summer of Granny — Ellen Jackson

After their discovery of old man Tarver's moonshine still while they're fishing, eight-year-old Jadie's faith in Granny is shaken when mysterious things happen to Billy Tarver. All signs point to Granny as the culprit, but does she really have powers to control the black panther that haunts Tarver day and night? Granny and Jadie both have the "gift" but until now, it's always been used for good. Has Granny's hatred for Tarver's moonshine still sent her over the edge, or is there something more sinister at work? Or is it revenge for something that happened in their past?
