While reporter Amanda Roberts is doing an article on old Georgia homes, valuable heirlooms are disappearing from the stately mansions. Enter ex-husband Mack Roberts. When Mack spots some of the missing antiques in an auction-house catalogue, Amanda knows that the goods are good and stolen--and that she is a likely suspect. Enter tough detective Joe Donelli, Amanda's now-and-then lover. Protecting Amanda is an all-too-familiar assignment. This time, though, Mack is looking out for her as well. And every time Joe sees Amanda with her ex, he feels he's being robbed. Now Amanda isn't sure which is more baffling: catch a thief--or finding her heart.
