Melody giggled. Howie smiled. Eddie plopped down in the snow and laughed out loud. "I'm pretty sure Santa's wife has better things to do than fix telephone wires," Eddie said.

"Eddie's right," Howie added. "The north pole is far away. Why would Mrs. Claus want to vacation in Bailey City?"

"After all," Melody said, "Mrs. Claus doesn't climb telephone poles."
