Learning to Dream — Richard Beeson

This is Part I of a longer work, Seduction of a Wanton Dreamer. In this section, the main character (Tony Fellows) finds his life upended when his wife leaves him and his job goes belly up on the same day. He retreats from New York City to a winter sublet in Sag Harbor, where he hopes to nurse his wounds while writing a novel. But he hadn't counted on an intrusive landlady, and an equally intrusive Celtic God. The landlady keeps resetting his agenda, and the god keeps penetrating his dreams.
