When his foster father, Ed, begs him to bring GQ's killer to justice, Jaz agrees. He knows that it is a promise he will honor, to the death if need be. And as much as he hates to do it, Jaz turns to his ex-wife, the gorgeous Dhana, to profile the killer.
True loves die hard, and Dhana does not want to admit that all her old emotions for her former husband are stirred to fever pitch every time she lays eyes on him. But her sense of justice and a growing conviction that no one is safe with this killer on the loose causes her to give in and to work closely with Jaz on the case.
As a prominent psychologist, Dhana soon draws the attention of the media, and the killer contacts her. Secure in the invulnerability of action, the killer begins to give away little pieces of valuable information, clues which lead Dhana to one inescapable conclusion: The most dangerous serial killer in Atlanta's history is a woman!
