Alfonso "Puffy" Pachoulo is an L.A. juiceman, a guy who'll lend you a bone ($1000) or more. But he gets it back -soon- with interest. And Billy Ray, a would-be actor and compulsive gambler, is having trouble making his payments. So is Allen Nadeau, a hot-shot lawyer with a designer car and a cash flow problem to match.
Vice cop Eddie "Panama" Heath knows you can't keep the juice from flowing, but then a glamour-boy politician gets the smart idea to clean up the city, and Panama's old flame is in trouble. Her husband, Billy Ray, has already got a new juiceman -a small-time bookie who should've known better...
