Harry and Lola Meet Santa Paws tells the story of the furry Christmas legend with twenty-four original color illustrations. Two rescued Scottish Terriers, Harry and Lola, meet Santa Paws one Christmas Eve. Once one of Santa's helpers, Santa Paws takes food and treats to needy dogs all over the world on Christmas Eve. Santa Paws offers Harry and Lola a chance to ride with him, and during the adventure they meet many less fortunate dogs who need help. The biggest thrill comes when they assist Santa Paws and his team of sled dogs in the rescue of a poor puppy in Africa that is being hunted by a pack of marauding hyenas. Though terrified of the hyenas, Lola discovers she has true courage after all, and Santa Paws invites the pair back to ride again next year.
At the end of the book kids are invited to become a part of Santa Paws' team of helpers by making any size or type of contribution to any dog rescue organization. They then can email Harry and Lola's mommy at jean@harryandlola.org to receive an official personalized poster showing they are part of the Santa Paws team.
