"You know, Joey, you told me that Em'ly had wrenches with her at shows, but that her set was the wrong kind. Did you mean that it was a set of metric wrenches and thus would not include a 15/16-inch wrench?"
"Exactly." Joey had been pleased with himself that he had been able to cleverly discover a technical clue about cars, but it sounded as if it was about to be discredited.
"Well, her set includes a 24-millimeter wrench, and that will fit most 15/16-inch bolts." "Really?"
"Yes, but what possible motive would sweet little Em'ly have to fool with John's car?"

Professor Roger Strong can usually be found giving in to his need for speed or his need to eat, but someone's thrown a wrench in his plans!

Roger builds hot rods as a hobby, entering his 1923 Ford T-bucket street rod in car shows. But when John, a fellow car enthusiast, is killed in a suspicious car crash, Roger jumps in to help the local sheriff grill suspects---quickly learning that not everything is as it seems.

With the T-bucket Nationals fast approaching, will Roger help track down the killer before he becomes the next target?
