Foolish Desire — Annie Bailey

Foolish Desire is the story of a feisty young widow (Jenna Nightingale), who determines to start a new independent life. She struggles to overcome her conflicting need for independence weighed against her deep desire as a woman to love and be loved by the right man. Despite her best intentions, her first night out with a new girlfriend inadvertently attracts the attention of the wrong man. On being rejected, he begins an escalating campaign of terror against Jenna. Jenna finds herself turning to her neighbour (John Shepherd) for support. Despite the obvious steamy attraction between them she stubbornly resists his devoted attentions.
This fictional story, which is set near the Bay of Fires on the beautiful East Coast of Tasmania Australia, includes snippets of Jenna's convict ancestry in Tasmania and a brief overview of the Chinese tin mining history.
