Death Makes an Entrance
When Jack Glynn quit the traveling theater group he helped create, he never planned to return. But the suicide of the group's cofounder -- Jack's former best friend -- changes everything. Jack leaves Hollywood for the frozen mountain town of Schuyler Mills to write the troupe's latest murder mystery.
The players, who call themselves Death Troupe, are highly paid for their elaborate shows, which incorporate the host town's history and lore. Jack arrives to a sinister welcome: black roses and a plastic severed head, which leaves him with the dawning suspicion that his friend's demise was not suicide. After a close call on the ski slopes, Jack believes that the cryptic notes scrawled in his predecessor's journal may hold clues to a dangerous truth...that death is once again ready to take center stage, and Jack has the starring role.
