Dangerous Desires — Steve Elliott

Stephen is dragged back to the land of fairies by an urgent summons. This time, someone has been brutally murdered, but there's also something almost as sinister hidden beneath it all. Stephen and Thorn (the ‘don't call me a fairy' fairy) and Nix (the sardonic goblin) team up to try to solve the puzzling series of clues which present themselves. They find that the dwarfs (not exactly the type of dwarfs Stephen was expecting) are also involved in whatever is happening. From then on, it's a series of burglaries, concealed item searches and a kidnapping, until the final battle is fought in a desperate race to rescue the kidnapped victim and to unfold the shocking truth behind everything that's happened.
In the meantime, Thorn and Tracey come to blows over Stephen's affection. Unfortunately, he then ends up being the recipient of their frustrations. How can he possibly wriggle out of such a romantic mess? Stephen has no idea how to extricate himself, especially after Thorn's ‘dying' confession of love. It'd take a genius to sort everything out and, as Stephen would be the first to admit, that title could never be applied to him in any shape or form, especially when it came to relationships.
