A RISQUE BUSINESS
The Calliope Kinema Club was located on very posh and proper Wilkinson Square, but its films were very naughty and not at all nice. Detective Inspector Peter Pascoe had no professional interest in blue movies, but he did see red when it came to murder.
So when a dentist, who knew genuine blood and broken teeth from stage props and catsup, insisted that a pretty actress in an X-rated film wasn't simply playing a part, Pascoe feared the worst. His skeptical superior, Superintendent Dalziel, wasn't ready to agree--until the real-life death of a porn king brought another murder into the picture, and snooping into the shooting of a snuff film became a very risque business indeed.
