"They deserved to be slaves, the way they let themselves be pushed around and never tried to fight back or anything. I wouldn't stand for it. They couldn't make me be a slave." Boy's opinions change, though, when she finds herself back in time -- amid the 1850s slave catchers and plantation owners.
