It hasn't taken long for the rainmakers of Big Pharma to figure out that this idealistic loner, this errant geneticist, Dillon, who's been run out of his Church, could be on to something that poses a major threat to them -- a trillion dollar industry ranked as the world's largest. They've no intention of becoming the dust of history, or suffering anything like the fate of ocean-liners or horse-drawn buggies. If Dillon can't be reined in, and his discovery eventually upends the way medicine is done, then what happens to the massive profits earned from selling all those pills by the ton-load? That's Pharma's perplexity; and they don't like the situation an ounce-worth.
Unaware of the trouble he's stirred up, Dillon doesn't know he's marked as a potential menace, if not an outright foe. Caught up in his dream, being “a man for others”, he proceeds blindly. Which is why he soon finds himself in the crosshairs of some very powerful forces...
