Priscilla Jane Gordon-Cumming was born on 6 February 1950, the daughter of Shirley Barbara Laub and Michael Willoughby Gordon-Cumming. Her sister Catherine Rose Gordon-Cumming, is the also writer Katie Fforde. Her grandfather was Sir William Gordon-Cumming, and she is writing his biography. In 1991, she married Edwin F. Osborn. They live in Oxford, England.
Jane began writing when she was about seven. She published her first novel in 2005, and later published several short stories includes in anthologies. She is Secretary and founder member of the Oxford Writers' Group and is Hon Deputy Treasurer of the Romantic Novelists Association. She post writing news to the RNA blog, the Transita Authors blog and contributes occasionally to Alan Burnett's witty and amusing 'News from Nowhere'.
