"Perched on the edge of greatness," they said about the run-down port city of Nasharbor, Massachusetts. Of course, they were the same guys who were pushing a condominium development on the waterfront, and who might be tied up with the death of a high-strung young reporter. She'd come to Detective John Cuddy about a Nasharbor pornography ring, police corruption, and a confidential source who died in a back alley.
