Wreaths for Silencia — David Horn

The rural idyllic of Exmoor is destroyed by a grisly murder. A single mother, bringing up her child in the social upheaval of the 1960's, discovers that the murderer is her own son. If he is caught, he will hang for his crime. If he confesses, he will live. If he is not caught, he will kill again. If she says anything... she will be his next victim.
