Ferion stood in a hollow between two hills that rose unevenly, giving the house a lopsided look. The effect was as if those bits and pieces had been dropped from on high, with no regard to design. The end result might well have been something from a child's disorganized nightmare.
Amy Vaughn was shocked by her first sight of the house, home of her Blacklock cousins, the only family she had left in the world. She wanted to turn and flee, but it was too late. She had burned bridges: she was penniless, with not other place in the world to go. Amy had come to Ferion, and now, for better or for worse, she must stay.
But in her worst fears she could not have imagined the truth hidden within this old house, for the horrible dangers that awaited her! For Ferion was a house of the devil, and Amy was marked as a sacrifice to his darkest powers!
