Kenneth Beau Ross waits in a transit camp in the south of England in June, 1944, with the rest of the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division. He's not sure exactly where he's going, but he's guessing his days of warm beer and Saturday night dances are over for good. Beau will fight alongside a dwindling group of friends as the final battles against Nazi Germany grind him to his core. He soon learns that there's no point in dwelling on your own survival.
