Twig Tully was getting used to having big problems. Though Twig's father still owned the giant OT ranch, the old man was confined to a wheelchair and could no longer manage his holdings. So Twig had become the trail boss. But from the time he took the job everything went wrong for him - cattle rustlers, blizzards and bad breaks of every kind seemed to plague the ranch daily. Then one day Twig realized that his rotten luck wasn't entirely, accidental. He also knew that he had no choice but to keep on going until the showdown, or he would lose everything.
