In 1990, 18-year-old Gossamer Fane leaves her boarding school, to study in London. She has plenty of money but no idea of her parentage. After a cruel humiliation by her lover Carey Lambert, Gossamer flees to Africa. On her return to London, to discover her past, she finds that Carey holds the key.
