Water Under the Bridge — Deirdre Verne

Sandra Moody has had it. The water keeps rising and there's nothing she can do about it. If the rain doesn't stop, her idyllic summer cabin will be swallowed up by a backlog of runoff and sludge. With a cause to champion, Sandra recruits neighbors and local town officials to find the source of flooding. Sandra's incessant digging ruffles feathers and answers seem to dry up faster an oasis mirage. If not for the mysterious disappearance of her favorite neighbor, she'd be one step away from locking the door and tossing the key.
