Holiday in a Nightmare
The prospect of vacationing at a private artists' retreat on the coast of Maine both exhilarated and worried young Jill Conrad. She wanted to get away from New York, from the memory of her last play. Of course, she barely knew the man who had invited her -- and his insistence that she stay at least a month at the art colony seemed unusual, but not really frightening.
It wasn't until Jill arrived at Cliff House that her doubts mushroomed into fears. And the fears grew with each subtle reference to a girl who'd died a quarter century before, a girl whose name seemed to conjure only an ominous silence, a girl Jill had never known but one she was being bizarrely manipulated to meet...in the grave.
