Ian Proctor intends to be somewhere else in four months' time. He dreams of exotic destinations, an end to his financial worries, and some company. Nine months after following his friend Gordon to London, Ian is anxious to change his life again. They're about to be evicted from their squat, he's on the verge of losing his part-time job, and Gordon, an erstwhile rent-collector, is embroiled in a scam that clearly hasn't worked.
