When Mafia boss Jimmy Santini asks Brooklyn private eye Eddie Lombardi to do a surveillance job for him, Eddie wants to run the other way. Not that Eddie has a choice in the matter. And the situation soon becomes impossible when he's told he has to follow seven suspects, each of whom might be planning to assassinate Santini.
