Robbie left her home to find love. As a favor to her father, whose recent auto accident had confined him to a wheelchair, auburn-haired Robbie Lawson agreed to take a leave of absence from her teaching job in San Diego and travel to Navajo land to compile research for a book on Navajo life that her father wanted to write. At first Robbie was reluctant to leave her pupils, but her father's pleadings won out, and she decided that a few months more or less were not much to give up for him.
