It's what's happening to sixteen-year-old Sophie Olivette. Her father has announced that he wants out of his marriage because he's found a new true love. And what about Sophie's mother? She's so busy seeking her Inner Self, she doesn't seem to notice that the family is falling apart. As for Sophie's older sister, her anger adds drama but doesn't help the situation. Sophie's classmate Ted seems the only solid, reasonable (and good-looking) person in the midst of the mess around her.
