Venturing farther into deepest Africa, intrepid photojournalist Jade del Cameron sets out on a trek to Mount Kilimanjaro, and reaches new heights of adventure.
On safari for a Hollywood film shoot about the legend of a lost treasure, Jade is to assist a troupe of demanding American actors, some keen on finding the real treasure while reenacting the story. Jade can hardly wait to photograph Kilimanjaro up close -- and contemplate Sam Featherstone's proposal of marriage. Her main responsibility: keep four women from wandering off into the forest. What could be simpler?
But on the eve of departure, the film's financial backer is killed by a native man who then commits suicide. The group heads out, and an uneasy Sam remains behind to investigate. But as the expedition moves higher up Kilimanjaro, a series of hoaxes and a seemingly fatal curse convince Jade that a killer is still at work among them -- and she prepares to be tested as never before by both natural a supernatural predators.
