such a great suspenseful novel, Alfred Hitchcock turned it into one of his great movies. Although vintage Leon Uris, it's right in time with today's talk of Russia --- of course the book goes into the Soviet Union, no longer in power today, but still Russia remains a super power. In the book the President of the USA has to make big decisions as the Soviet Union aims warheads towards the country.
