Too Close for Comfort — Ginger Chambers

It was easy for Kathy Stevens, newly graduated marine biologist, newest Texas Parks and Wildlife Department employee, to come back home to the Texas Gulf Coast, back to her beloved Bay Area. But she could never have contrived the circumstances that made her Peter Maxwell's next-door neighbor. A bank executive, he was completely at ease in his three-piece suit. In shorts and soggy sneakers, Kathy spent her days in muddy waters tagging fish. If Peter was fastidious, Kathy was freewheeling.
