The tall tales told in these pages introduce the reader to an absurd cast of characters including Samuel Pride, comrade Owain King, Dai The Oils, and Little Lil. The storylines span an alternative history of Lincoln at the theatre, accusations of bestiality Down Under, a schoolboy Soviet spy, an artist's mermaid mission, the affairs of a dysfunctional writers' group, the love-life of a computer genius, discoveries in the attic, gender issues on The Titantic, and the reprocessing of Elvis. Several stories are located in Wales but other settings include Australia's Northern Territory, Moscow, and Civil War America.
