Craving the security of wealth, Wilma Allen was glad of her appointment as librarian at an exclusive preparatory school for girls. She would be well paid and have ample opportunity to meet eligible young men in the form of pupils' brothers and cousins. However it soon became apparent to Wilma that the young daughters of the rich quickly learn to identify opportunists and in the course of trying to instruct the young in values, she discovered a few of her own that could not be rung up on a cash register.
