When Cathy Arensen was transferred from Hollywood to midtown Manhattan as a temporary producer for the soap opera Search for Love, she knew she had her work cut out for her.
Salvaging the plummeting ratings was one thing; working with executive producer Steve Bronsky was another. The last thing he wanted to do was listen to her suggestions for saving his show--and his electric male appeal made it almost impossible to concentrate.
