East Coast - frantic; West Coast - laid back, right? Cayden Wright thought so. Her grandmother has left her an adorable cottage in southern California. The move to the West Coast transforms Cayden's stagnant post-college life. Working several part-time jobs, including a part-time bookkeeping stint at the home of movie star Simon Parrish, she finds Polly Caulfield, who is pregnant and homeless, camping out in the pool cabana. When Cayden meets Simon's brother, Adam, she doesn't like him much, but he proves to be an unexpected ally when she needs one. As always, Cayden is supported by her stalwart cat, Mrs. Woo, who has opinions on everything and doesn't hesitate to make them known.
