Laura's life is one of disenchantment as a housewife and mother her world is stagnant and uninteresting, but all of this changes when she meets Andy one day during on of her regular dog walk in the local woods.
They quickly develop a friendship and meet often and walk together, but it soon becomes apparent that they both have deeper feelings for one another. The story tells how they eventually become lovers.
