The Wizard's Daughter — Elizabeth Brown

A dying wizard sends his apprentice, Ardian, and his newborn daughter, Meyxa, into an alternate dimension so that they will avoid meeting the same fate. He warns Ardian that Meyxa is never to know where she came from or who her parents were, or grave danger could befall her. When odd things start happening, Ardian is forced to tell her. What calamities will befall them now?
