“Eric has a firm command of both military SF and things that go bite in the night.”
-- Chuck Dixon, Award winning author of “Alien Legion”
The staff of Psi-Mechs, Inc. has seen better days. Although they defeated the worm monster, it left them unprepared for Mavet's assault on their Alaskan base, and the company was devastated, with most of its members killed, and its owner, Katherine Grimm, captured by the god-vampire.
Like the phoenix, though, the company has risen from the ashes of its demise under the guidance of Katharine's son, Donald, and the telekinetic, Ringer. New mechs have been built, and new pilots recruited to operate them. New psychic talent has been found. And Psi-Mechs, Inc. is now the proud owner of the best aircraft on the planet, courtesy of their resident tele-mechanic, Hank.
But Mavet has been busy, too. In addition to the multitude of vampires he has always controlled, alongside him now are legions of zombie-creating dark mages and a demon from the very depths of hell. All of them are bent on destroying Psi-Mechs, Inc. once and for all, and bringing their dark god, Non, to life.
Time is short for Psi-Mechs, Inc.'s pilots and psychics. They must recover Katherine Grimm and then find and stop Mavet before he ends the world -- something they've never been able to do, even when they were at full strength. When faced with the end of the world, though, what other choice do they have?
Psi-Mech, Inc. Because things do go bump in the night.
