According to local legend, Peg Leg the pirate once spent the night at the Bessledorf Hotel, and he may have left treasure buried in Middleburg. Now strange bobbing lights have been sighted late at night on Bessledorf Hill, and mysterious coded messages are turning up all over town. When Bernie Magruder and his sleuthing pals Georgene and Weasel investigate, they discover that someone has been digging holes on the hill. Could the old story be true?
