The Toy Hunters — Peter David

During a journey from Japan to the US, a torpedo strikes John's ship and he finds himself on an island, alone and devastated that he couldn't save his best friend Wallie. Soon known as ‘The Toy Soldier', he discovers there are hundreds of toys on Toy Island and he learns how everyone has their roles and what freedom brings. But there is one big fear for them all - The Toy Hunters. As the toys are valuable and the Toy Hunters have one goal in mind, John takes on leadership and must devise a plan of defence. With so many lives to protect, the pressure is on. Nevertheless, can John with the help of his friends defeat their enemies for good or will they always be looking over their shoulders in fear of their safety?
